At our shop, even minor damage gets major attention. This 2012 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited came to us after a small fender bender left noticeable scuffing and side dent on the front passenger-side bumper. While the impact was low-speed, the owner wanted their vehicle restored to pre-incident condition.
The Extent of It
The damaged area showed a significant dent above the passenger wheel well, clear paint transfer, surface abrasions, and deformation on the bumper cover. The scuffing extended across the curved face of the bumper, with visible scratches breaking through the clear coat and into the color layer. Fortunately, the structural damage was minimal, and most of the cosmetic issues did not affect underlying components, sensors, or mounting points, making this an ideal candidate for precision cosmetic repair.
Restored and Back on the Road
After repair and refinishing, the bumper looked factory-fresh with no visible signs of the previous scrape and dent, no texture differences, and no color mismatch. The Outback left our shop at Direct Paint looking exactly as it should: clean, uniform, and well cared for.
Minor Damage, Major Difference
Even small bumper collisions can detract from a vehicle’s appearance and resale value.
