In the past few weeks theft from cars has been widespread throughout Haverford Township and surrounding areas.
On October 29, one man was arrested after police found him in someone’s car in the 1200 block of West Chester Pike. He was in possession of a purse, a wallet, and a plastic cup containing loose change. Police reportedly also found that he had hypodermic needles, methadone, pills, and a baggie containing a white powdery substance.
Other reported thefts include:
- A laptop computer was reportedly stolen from an unlocked car at LA Fitness in the 400 block of West Chester Pike on October 23 around 6:30 p.m.
- Loose change was taken from an unlocked car in the 400 block of Bryan Street on October 23.
- A purse containing credit cards, checks, an iPhone and an iPod Touch were stolen from a car in the 200 block of Pine Ridge Road on October 29.
