If you are one the many drivers who uses the PA Turnpike, you will once again (for the 6th year in a row), be spending a little extra on tolls.
Starting on January 5, cash tolls will jump up 12 %, while E-ZPass tolls will increase 2 %. The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission approved the increase at a July 15 board meeting.
About 18 cents of every toll dollar does towards PennDOT road repairs. One current plan is to expand the roadway from four to six lanes.
